The flatline barrel system will increase your range dramatically. However it does this by putting backspin on a liquid filled gel capsul. This results in a very inconsitant shot. In my opinion the flatline is better left for high volume supressive fire rather than well placed accurate shots.

So I should probably stick to my Hammerhead (Tippmann's) or Freak (on my Ion) - both of these barrels systems have been "very good to me".

The flatline is very inconsistent. It also, in my experience, breaks paint in the barrel quite often. Its definelty better used for long-range suppressive fire rather than accurate sniper shots.
